Amélie Mathieu

Amélie is passionate about wildlife medicine and preservation of endangered species. She received a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Université de Montréal, after which she completed various veterinary internships in small animal medicine, zoo medicine and wildlife health. She furthered her post-graduate training by completing a conservation medicine residency and obtaining a Master of Science degree in veterinary preventive medicine at the Ohio State University, the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium and The Wilds. Amélie has cared for many endangered species that would be extinct if not for conservation breeding and hopes the Caribou Conservation Alliance can give caribou the extra help they need.
