Franco Alo

After completing a Master of Science degree in Biology focused on reindeer reproduction in Finland, Franco returned to Canada determined to support caribou recovery. Over the years, he’s taken part in several caribou conservation projects, including the collection of field data in Alberta, the management of the South Selkirk maternity pen in British Columbia and the National Boreal Caribou Knowledge Consortium. Franco firmly believes that science needs to be reliably communicated to be effective. A keen photographer, he uses any avenue at his disposal to contribute to caribou conservation and has seen his work featured in several wildlife-related publications.
