Tim Eugene

Tim was born in Golden, British Columbia, and has lived on the Shuswap Reserve for most of his life. Tim’s parents are Xavier and Marge Eugene, of Radium B.C. Tim is a direct descendant of Pierre Kinbasket (Kenpesq’t) through his father, Xavier. 

Tim Eugene was a councillor for the Shuswap Band leadership from 2015 to 2023.

Tim has been fortunate to have both of his parents to shape his traditional knowledge. Xavier and Marge Eugene have taught all their children the traditions of hunting, trapping, fishing, berry picking, medicine gathering as well as the oral traditions of the Shuswap people. 

The Shuswap Band is part of the Shuswap Nation Tribal Council which consists of 17 different Bands. Their territory is vast, from Skookumchuck, to Cache Creek, from the Alberta Border to the West Kootenays.
